ABOUT KOA

Working With Koa Wood

Koa is a hardwood species that grows only in Hawaiʻi and is valued for its curl, color, and depth. Each piece of wood is selected for stability and grain quality before being shaped on the lathe. Because every tree and board is different, the results are always one-of-a-kind.

His workshop is where he designs, turns, sands, and finishes each piece by hand using traditional tools and careful workmanship.
